Born and raised in New York city, Jasmine began painting at the young age of 8. By age 13 she was awarded a certificate by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC for draftsmanship. Initially, she attended New York's FIT majoring in fine arts, and minored in fashion illustration. Later, Jasmine discovered there was a lot more training she can receive and decided to live abroad. In Germany she took time for exploration, and earned a bachelor of science in psychology. At this time she had a further understanding of people, color, objects and feelings. Her style of painting is closely associated with technology, and greatly influenced by cubism and geometric shapes. Some other alternatives as demonstrated here, an 'introspection' to abstract expressionism in art and print media. Jasmine extends gratitude to her parents, and grandmother for fostering her artistic capabilities. She now looks forward to earning a Ph.D. in engineering.
